The high elves here are also sun elves.
Green Elf Forest lies nearby and serves as a protective outer region so the city is not easily found.
At one point during a festival, a red dragon wyrmling caused trouble in the city.
During elvish dancing, hooded figures attacked.
Those attackers were drow led by priestesses and were hunting sun elves.
A young sun elf girl named Griset was involved in the attack.
A drow named Zrumlock guarded or protected a grate connected to her.
The city contains a statue showing elves giving a man a floating island blue gem, with a mythalar at its center.
That statue serves as a cautionary tale about trusting outsiders, because men later abused magic and Netheril ruined it.
Silver Down is a magical mithral longsword associated with the city’s history.

Ancient Elvish City is tied to the lost memory of the Golden Age.
Grimace the Wise, who lived during the Golden Age, wielded Silver Down during the war of that time.
The city preserves old lessons about the handing of magic from elves to men and the eventual corruption of that trust.
Though much about the Golden Age has been lost to time, the city still appears to remember fragments through its monuments, relics, and lineages.
